Why You Should Stage (Even In A Sellers Market)

Staging is always crucial, even when houses are selling like wildfires! While the market is slowing down slightly, at least in my area, prices are still super high. So why not try to get the most out of your house? A well staged home can really help your listing, here are a few reasons why.

  1. True Potential

Staging a house can easily take an empty or out of date room from drab, to fab! With the market still being high, right now is definitely the time to get as much out of your house as possible. Staging is a great way to show your potential buyers exactly how to use your home as well as the true feel for it.

2. Fall In Love

Adding that extra spice to your listing can easily make a buyer fall in love! Just think about those times you go somewhere and it feels like home. Maybe it’s your favorite store, a football field, or your grandma’s house. For me, it’s totally Cracker Barrel! (Their food and decor is incredible.) We want to make your potential buyers feel like that when they walk in to your fully furnished property, with professional styling and pieces that extenuate the beauty of your house.

3. Appear More Move-In Ready

Home staging can easily make your property feel more move-in ready. What I mean by this is, assume one of your buyers is on a time crush. They need something fast and close to what they were expecting. Home staging can help ease their mind from stress by buying the feeling of the house vs. the small things they don’t care for. Things like a room color, or maybe the shower floor tile in a bathroom, just the small things that can be changed. In no way are we deceiving them, this is just helping them to focus more on the feel and big picture and not get wrapped up in all the small details based off preferences.

4. More Listing Views

Staged houses definitely get more listing views. Even in a seller’ market, people still determine if they want to view your house based off the listing photos. We know that the more awareness your listing has, the more people know about it, the more people talk about it, and the higher the chance of finding those buyers! Plus, the more demand, the higher the offers reach. Preparation is key with real estate, every step counts for the better and staging is one of those steps!

5. Adds Curb Appeal

Adding curb appeal to your front yard and/or porch for cars driving by could be a make or break for some! It could even lead to an offer. We all know first impressions matter BIG time, think about all those interviews, meetings, or if you’re a realtor, meeting any new client. That same rule applies to your home and you can do something about it! Here’s a few things to try to increase your curb appeal.

  • Adding porch decor to make your entry seem more welcoming.

  • Renovating or updating your landscape. Try putting in some bright flowers or raking! A little goes a long way.

  • Add a seating area to make your porch seem relaxing and calming.

  • Pressure wash your exterior or pavement if it needs it. This can make a huge difference.

  • Paint any chipped/worn paint or even give your house a new color!
