Home Staging Checklist for 2022
These are just a few of our mot helpful tips and tricks when selling a house. Staging is crucial in helping maximize the vision of your house and increasing your chances of get more offers. Here are __ helpful tips to try when staging your house!
Don’t show day to day life. Try to help your buyers see their day to day life in your house instead.
Don’t hide the value or uniqueness of your house.
Don’t overpersonalise your space during showings.
Don’ be negative!
Don’t leave any red flags for potential buyers to see.
Evaluate each room as a potential buyer, what do you like and what don’t you like.
Now to go really in depth per each room, these are my favorite things to make sure of when checking rooms. In the end it’s the simple stuff that really matters like wiping down countertops, giving a good smell, or doing a quick pickup.
Kitchen & Dining Room
Clean countertops, tables, and all chairs + give a good wipe.
Have a clean sink!
Sweep & Vacuum floors.
Take out the trash.
Keep the decor simple.
Dust light fixtures and wipe heavily used appliances.
Put away all small appliances.
Bathrooms
Replace towels or hang new ones!
Put away cosmetics, bath products, skincare, or even toys.
Empty and/or hide trash cans.
Wipe down + clean all toilets.
Wipe down all counters, sinks, and mirrors.
Try to hide as much as clutter as possible.
For decor, keep it as simple as possible. Things like soap, a white bathrobe, a small tray, a faux plant, and hand towels are all fine!
Bedrooms
Vacuum or sweep all floors and rugs.
Put away or wash all laundry, messy clothes are a no-go!
Put away all personal belongings.
Make or change all bedding. Throw pillows + blankets are a big Win!
Tun on all nightstand lamps and lights.
Put away all jewelry and valuables in a safe space.
Declutter and organize all closets.
Living Rooms
Wipe down any side tables, coffee tables, or surfaces.
Vacuum and sweep floors.
Clear all clutter and as much personal decor as possible. Decor items like rugs, plants, throw blankets and throw blankets are all great options.
Turn off all TV’s or put on modern music via YouTube.
Get rid of all bulky or unnecessary items.
Put away movies, gaming systems, and magazines.
If you have a fireplace with a mantle, keep the decor simple and light.
Extras
Turn on all lights.
Open blinds, natural lighting is big bonus in adding life to your space.
Declutter and organize the garage.
Clean your home office and lock up any important paperwork. Create as much pen space as possible.
Show how beautiful and clean your space is. Give vision, but leave room for imagination. Most importantly, give life to your house!
